Derek J Moran
Director, President and CEO
Mr Moran qualified as a chartered accountant while working with KPMG before commencing his career in the natural resource sector in North America in 1976. He is the founder and principal shareholder of Monroe and has been involved in founding a number of new and successful ventures since 1981. He has extensive international corporate finance and development experience and has spent many years working in Canada and Africa.

Chairman
Mr Benitz is a specialist in corporate finance and development. He enjoys an international reputation for identifying growth opportunities and has an enviable track record of success. He is a director of several public companies, including Island Oil and Gas, MagIndustries, Scandinavian Minerals and Tanganyika Oil. Mr Benitz is a member of Monroe's Audit Committee.

Director, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary
Mr Farkas, a lawyer, is an independent business consultant. Prior to entering the commercial sector in 1997, he was a senior corporate partner with Howard Mackie (now BLG), also of Calgary. Mr Farkas has broad experience in the resource sector, particularly in relation to corporate development.

Director
Mr Perraton is senior partner in the Alberta law firm, Perraton Law. Until 2002 he was Chancellor of the University of Calgary and he is the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Korea. Mr Perraton is a member of Monroe's Audit Committee.

Director
Mr Tondowski is an independent investment banker living in South Africa. He has had a distinguished career with firms such as Lehman Brothers, Dean Witter Reynolds, Manufacturers Hanover, Merrill Lynch and the Industrial Bank of Japan International. Mr Tondowski is a member of Monroe's Audit Committee.

Head of Administration
Mr Woodward is a partner in WGD LLP, Chartered Accountants, in Calgary. Prior to founding the predecessor of this firm in 1991, Mr Woodward was a senior manager with KPMG, specialising in taxation. Through an associated company, Woodward Consulting Ltd., Mr Woodward oversees Monroe's accounting, treasury and administration requirements.
